PDG Ray Schley
Joined Lions Clubs International on June 9, 1989 as a member of the Brookings Lions Club. In 1991, I was elected as clubs Lions Tamer and became a member of the club's Board of directors. He has served on the board in several positions including director and Vice President.
Lion Ray became the clubs president in 1997-1998 and served on the Brookings Lions club's board through June 2002 including Treasurer my last 2 years on the Board.
I held my first office on the District level in South Dakota as a Zone Chairperson in 1999-2000. I was elected as Vice District Governor to District 5 SE in 2000. I served as District Governor during Lions year 2001 and 2002.
As a Past District Governor I have held several Chairperson positions on District 5 SE's cabinet including LCIF, Long Range Planning, Membership and Honorary Chairperson.
I am presently the President of the South Dakota PDG Association. I'm also serving as the President of the South Dakota Lions Foundation.
Lion Ray's wife is Louise. together have 3 sons and 5 grand children. Lion Ray has worked as a Manager for several railroads for over past 31 years.
